Connecting Paypal to Your BurgerShop Store
Paypal allows customers to make payments using various methods, including Paypal balance, bank accounts, debit, or credit cards. As a BurgerShop merchant, you can use PayPal as a payment provider for customer checkout and processing. Follow this tutorial to successfully connect your Paypal Business Account to your BurgerShop store.
Step 1: Set Up Paypal Business and Sandbox Account
- If you already have both accounts, skip to Create a Sandbox Account.
- Sign Up for Paypal Business Account
- Sign up for a new Paypal Business Account

Step 2: Activate Paypal as your Payment Method
- Use your Merchant ID, Client ID, and Secret Key to connect Paypal to your store.
- Log in to Paypal Developer Dashboard
- Log in with your Business Account at the Paypal Developer Dashboard.
- Select Mode
- Choose Live mode. If you want to use Paypal in test mode, select Sanbox and use Sandbox API credentials.
- Navigate to Apps and Credentials
- Click on the Apps and Credentials tab.
- Get your Client ID and Secret Key
- If you haven’t created an app yet, click Create App. Enter a name for the app and click Create app.
- In the application detail page, you will see your Client ID. Click Show to reveal your Secret Key. Copy these for later steps.
- Retrieve Your Merchant ID
- Log in to your Paypal account to get your Merchant ID.
- Connect Paypal in BurgerSHop Admin
- From your BurgerShop admin, go to Store Channel > Preferences > Paypal and click Manage.
- In the popup, paste your Client ID and Secret Key. Then, click Save.
Select Live mode. If you prefer to use PayPal in test mode, select Sandbox and use the Sandbox API credentials.
Click on the Apps & Credentials tab and select your app to retrieve your Client ID and Secret Key. If you haven’t created an app yet, click Create App, enter a preferred name in the App Name field, and then click Create App.
On the application detail page, you will see your Client ID. Click Show to retrieve your Secret Key. Copy both the Client ID and Secret Key and save them for later use in the admin steps.
Log in to Paypal to get Merchant ID
From your BurgerShop admin, go to Store Channel > Preferences > PayPal and click Manage.
In the popup, paste your Client ID and Secret Key. Then, click Save.
By following these steps, you can successfully connect Paypal to your BurgerShop store, enabling seamless payment processing for your customers.
