Setting Up Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a powerful e-commerce analytics tool used globally by website owners. To start utilizing Google Analytics, you need a Google account, sign up for analytics tracking, and choose which data to track. 

This allows you to gather valuable data about purchase activities, such as product and transaction information, average order value, e-commerce conversion rate, purchase time, and more.

Step-by-Step Guideline:

A. If you already have Google Analytics 4

Step 1: Go to your BurgerShop Admn

  • Navigate to ‘Store Channel’ > ‘Preference’ > Google Analytics 4’.

Step 2: Paste the ID of Google Analytics

  • Enter your Google Analytics Measurement ID

Step 3: Click Save

  • Save your changes to start tracking data.

B. If you do not have Google Analytics yet

Step 1: Open Google Analytics

Step 2: Start Measuring

  • Click ‘Start Measuring’

Step 3: Fill in the Required Information

  • Enter the required information and click ‘Next’.

Step 4: Property Creation

  • Enter a name for the property
  • Select the reporting time zone and currency
  • Click ‘Next’

Step 5: Select Industry Category and Business Size

  • Choose your industry category and business and size
  • Click ‘Next’.

Step 6: Choose How You Intend to Use Google Analytics

  • Select the relevant options and click ‘Create’.

Step 7: Accept Terms of Service

  • Use the drop-down menu to select your country if not already selected. 
  • Click ‘I Accept’ to acknowledge that you have read the Terms of Service

Step 8: Enable Data Collection for Your Site

  • Select ‘Web’.

Step 9: Enable Website URL and Create Stream Name

  • Enter your website URL
  • Create Stream Name
  • Toggle on enhanced measurement 
  • Click ‘Create Stream’

Step 10: Copy the Measurement ID

  • On the next page, copy the Measurement ID.

Step 11: Go to Your Store’s Admin Dashboard

  • Navigate to ‘Store Channel’ > ‘Preferences’ > ‘Google Analytics 4’

Step 12: Paste the Measurement ID

  • Enter the copied Measurement ID in the appropriate field.

Step 13: Click Save

  • Save your changes to enable Google Analytics tracking on your store.

By following these steps, you can set up Google Analytics to start collecting and analyzing data about your store’s performance, helping you make informed decisions to optimize your e-commerce operations.
