Setting Custom Shipping Class for Your BurgerShop Stores

Setting up shipping classes in your BurgerShop store can help you manage additional fees, such as storage costs or packaging based on the item. Follow this step-by-step guide to set up shipping classes effectively.
Step-by-Step Guideline
Step 1: Access Shipping Settings
- Log in to your BurgerShop Admin.
- Navigate to Store Channel > Shipping > Add Shipping Class
Step 2: Create a Shipping Class
- Enter the name for the shipping class.
Step 3: Assign Shipping Class to Products
- Go to Products > All Products
- Click on the product or product list to which you want to add a shipping class.
- On the product page, add the shipping class and then click Save.
- Note: Each product can have its own shipping class.
Note: Each shipping class is available for a product
Step 4: Manage Shipping Rates
- Click Manage Shipping Rate. if you haven’t created custom shipping rates yet, please refer to the related article for more details.
Step 5: Edit Shipping Rates
- Select the desired shipping method on the custom shipping rates page and click Edit.
Step 6: Set Up Shipping Class Rates
- In the Edit rate page, set up the shipping class rate using the formula: shipping rate = $0.00*[qty].
- Click Done.

Example Calculation
- If your standard shipping fee is $4.99 and your class shipping fee is $1 per item, the total shipping fee for three items would be calculated as follows:
- Shipping Fee = Standard Shipping Fee + (Class Shipping Fee * Qty)
- Shipping Fee = $4.99 + ($1*3) = $7.99
By following these steps, you can effectively set up and manage shipping classes in your BurgerShop store, ensuring that all additional fees are accounted for and applied correctly.
