Transferring Domain Permission from a Third-Party Domain to Cloudflare

Before connecting your domain to BurgerShop, ensure your third-party domain is managed on Cloudflare. This is necessary to connect an existing domain to BurgerShop. Follow the steps below to transfer your domain permissions to Cloudflare.

Step-by-Step Guideline

Step 1: Create a Cloudflare Account

Step 2: Add Your Domain to Cloudflare

  • Enter your domain name on Cloudflare to start the transfer process.

Step 3: Change Nameservers to Cloudflare

  • Copy the nameservers provided by Cloudflare.
  • Log in to your third-party domain registrar (e.g., Namecheap).
  • Replace the default nameservers with the nameservers provided by Cloudflare.
  • Save the changes.

Note: Copy the nameserver of Couldfare and then login your 3rd party domains and remove default nameserver then paste nameserver of Couldfare

Step 4: Wait for Cloudflare Verification

  • After updating the nameservers, wait for Cloudflare to verify the changes. This process usually takes 1-2 hours. If it takes longer, contact Cloudflare support for assistance.

Step 5: Point DNS Records to BurgerShop

  • In Cloudflare, go to DNS > Records > Add Record.
  • Create three records with the type as specified, pointing to IP: 3.21.117.188. Make sure to use your own domain.

Step 6: Enable SSL/TLS

  • Go to SSL/TLS > Overview in Cloudflare.
  • Select Full and enable SSL/TLS Recommender.

Step 7: Configure Caching

  • Go to Caching > Configuration > Custom Purge in Cloudflare.
  • Note: If Step 6 does not successfully connect with BurgerShop, proceed to Step 7.

Step 8: Connect Domain to BurgerShop

By following these steps, you can successfully transfer your domain permission from a third-party domain to Cloudflare, allowing you to connect your domain to your BurgerShop store smoothly.
