Before you start

Before migrating products from Etsy to BurgerShop, make sure you have:

  • A BurgerShop store
  • Access to your BurgerShop admin
  • Google Chrome browser
  • BurgerShop Intel Chrome extension installed
  • POD Intel API Token
  • BurgerShop API Key
  • An Etsy product listing that you want to analyze

Step 1: Install the BurgerShop Intel Chrome extension

To use BurgerShop Intel, you need to add the extension to your Chrome browser.

Steps:

  1. Go to the BurgerShop Intel extension page:
    https://extensions.byburgershop.com/
  2. Click Add to Chrome.
  3. Confirm the installation in your Chrome browser.
  4. Pin the extension to your Chrome toolbar for easier access.

After installation, you can open BurgerShop Intel from your browser while viewing supported product pages such as Etsy listings.

Step 2: Get your POD Intel API Token

BurgerShop Intel requires a POD Intel API Token to run product analysis and generate product output.

To get this token, please contact the BurgerShop Support team. The support team will provide the correct token for your account.

Important
Do not share your POD Intel API Token with anyone outside your team. This token is used to connect your extension with BurgerShop Intel services.

Step 3: Get your BurgerShop API Key

You also need your BurgerShop API Key so the extension can create products in the correct BurgerShop store.

Steps:

  1. Log in to your BurgerShop admin.
  2. Open the store where you want to migrate products.
  3. Go to Online Store.
  4. Select Preferences.
  5. Find the API Key section.
  6. Copy your BurgerShop API Key.

Keep this key ready. You will paste it into the BurgerShop Intel extension settings.

Step 4: Configure BurgerShop Intel settings

After you have both keys, set up BurgerShop Intel before analyzing Etsy products.

Steps:

  1. Open the BurgerShop Intel extension.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Paste your POD Intel API Token.
  4. Paste your BurgerShop API Key.
  5. Select the default Product Status:
    • Draft: The generated product will be created as a draft in BurgerShop.
    • Active: The generated product will be created as an active product in BurgerShop.
  6. Click Save Settings.

Recommendation
Choose Draft when using BurgerShop Intel for the first time. This allows you to review and edit the generated product before making it visible on your store.

Step 5: Open the Etsy product you want to analyze

After setting up the extension, go to Etsy and open the product listing that you want to research or migrate.

Steps:

  1. Go to Etsy.
  2. Search for a product, niche, or design idea.
  3. Open the Etsy product listing page.
  4. Open the BurgerShop Intel side panel.

BurgerShop Intel will detect the Etsy listing and display the product information in the side panel.

Step 6: Analyze the Etsy product

After opening the Etsy product listing, start the analysis process.

Steps:

  1. In the BurgerShop Intel side panel, click Analyze Now.
  2. Wait for the tool to analyze the Etsy product page.
  3. BurgerShop Intel will review the available product context, listing signals, mockup information, and potential buyer intent.
  4. After the analysis is complete, the tool will show different tabs such as overview, audience, risks, strategy, and redesign.

The analysis helps you understand the product angle before generating a new product for your BurgerShop store.

Step 7: Generate redesign ideas

After the analysis is complete, you need to generate new product design options.

Steps:

  1. In the BurgerShop Intel side panel, click the Redesign tab.
  2. Wait for the tool to generate new design ideas.
  3. BurgerShop Intel will display 3 new design suggestions based on the analyzed Etsy product.
  4. Review each design suggestion, including the image, product angle, suggested headline, and target persona.

These redesign ideas are created to help you build a new product concept instead of copying the original Etsy listing directly.

Step 8: Create the product in BurgerShop

After reviewing the redesign suggestions, choose the design you want to use and create the product.

Steps:

  1. In the Redesign tab, find the design suggestion you want to use.
  2. Click Create Product.
  3. Wait a few minutes while the system generates the new product.
  4. After the process is complete, the product will be created in your BurgerShop store.

The product status will depend on the setting you selected earlier:

  • If you selected Draft, the product will be created as a draft.
  • If you selected Active, the product will be created as an active product.

Step 9: Review the generated product

After the product is created, go to your BurgerShop admin and review the product carefully.

Check the following details:

  • Product title
  • Product description
  • Product image or mockup
  • Product type
  • Product variants
  • Product price
  • SKU
  • Product status
  • Product tags or collections
  • SEO title and meta description

You should edit any information that does not match your store positioning, product strategy, or target market.

Important
BurgerShop Intel is designed to speed up product research and product creation. Sellers are still responsible for reviewing the final product before publishing, running ads, or selling it to customers

Next steps

After the product is generated in BurgerShop, review the product details, update any missing information, assign it to the right collection, and publish it when ready.
