Customize Abandoned Checkout Emails on BurgerShop
The Abandoned Checkout feature on BurgerShop allows you to recover potentially lost sales by sending reminder emails to customers who left items in their cart without completing the purchase. You can customize the content of these emails to match your brand voice and include discount codes to encourage customers to complete their orders.
This guide will show you how to customize the reminder emails easily within your BurgerShop admin panel.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Go to the Abandoned Checkout Section
From your BurgerShop Admin, navigate to:Marketing > Abandoned Checkout

Step 2: Open the Email Flow Tab
- At the top of the page, switch to the Email Flow tab.
- You will see the default 3-email reminder flow provided by BurgerShop.

Step 3: Edit/Add Email Content
- Click Edit next to any of the email templates.

- You can customize the following:
- Subject line
- Body content
- Call-to-action (CTA) button
- Discount code
Step 4: Preview Your Changes
- After editing, click Preview to see how the email will look.
- You can also send a test email to your own inbox for review.
Step 5: Enable or Disable Emails
- Use the toggle next to each email to enable or disable it from being sent.
- Emails that are disabled will be skipped in the reminder flow.
🛍️ Tip: Add a Discount to Encourage Checkout
In the email editor, you can insert a discount code to incentivize customers. This is a great way to increase the chance of recovering the order.
✅ Done!
Once you’ve saved your changes, the updated email content will be used for all future abandoned checkout reminders.
