Cart Display Settings

The Cart display setting lets you control how the cart appears after customers add products to their cart.

You can choose whether customers are directed to a full cart page or shown a cart drawer. You can also decide what happens after a product is successfully added to the cart.

Access Cart display settings

You can manage cart display behavior from the Theme Editor.

Steps:

1. Log in to your BurgerShop admin.
2. Go to Online store.
3. Select Themes.
4. Open the theme you want to edit.
5. Click Customize.
6. In the left sidebar, click General setting.
7. Select Cart display.

From this section, you can control the cart type and the customer experience after adding products to cart.

Understand Cart display settings

The Cart display section includes two main settings:

These settings can affect how quickly customers continue shopping or move to checkout.

Choose cart type

The Type setting controls how the cart is displayed on your storefront.

Cart page

Cart page sends customers to a dedicated cart page where they can review their selected products before checkout.

Use Cart page if you want customers to review the full cart in a separate page experience.

Cart drawer

Cart drawer opens a side panel or drawer without leaving the current page. This allows customers to quickly review their cart while continuing to browse.

Use Cart drawer if you want a faster shopping experience and want customers to continue browsing after adding products.

Steps:

1. Go to General setting > Cart display.
2. Under Type, select:
   • Cart page
   • Cart drawer
3. Review the storefront behavior if available.
4. Click Save.

Set action after successful addition

The Action after successful addition setting controls what happens after a customer adds a product to the cart.

Redirect to the cart page

When this option is selected, customers will be sent to the cart page after successfully adding a product.

This is useful when you want customers to review their cart immediately and move toward checkout.

Popup notification

When this option is selected, customers will stay on the current page and see a popup notification after adding a product to the cart.

This is useful when you want customers to continue browsing more products.

Steps:

1. Go to General setting > Cart display.
2. Under Action after successful addition, select:
   • Redirect to the cart page
   • Popup notification
3. Review how the behavior works on your storefront.
4. Click Save

Save and publish changes

After changing your cart display settings, save your theme.

Steps:

1. Click Save in the top-right corner.
2. Preview your storefront.
3. Add a product to cart to test the behavior.
4. Click Publish if you want to apply the updated theme to your live store
