What is Abandoned Checkout?
Abandoned Checkout refers to customer orders that reach the checkout stage but are not completed. These are missed sales opportunities that can be recovered by sending timely reminder emails to customers.
BurgerShop helps you automatically detect these checkouts and gives you tools to recover them via email campaigns.
Why Should You Use It?
- Recover Lost Sales: Reach out to customers who didn’t complete their orders.
- Boost Conversion Rates: Convert abandoned carts into completed orders.
- Improve Customer Retention: Stay connected with interested buyers.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Analyze performance through metrics like recovery rate and revenue.
Overview of the Abandoned Checkout Dashboard
Navigate to Orders > Abandoned Checkouts in the sidebar. Here’s what you’ll see:

Abandoned Order Statistics
Recoverable Orders | Number of unfinished orders eligible for email recovery |
Recovered Orders | Orders that were successfully recovered after sending reminder emails |
Recovery Order Rate | % of recovered orders / total abandoned orders |
Recoverable Revenue | Value of all recoverable orders |
Recovered Revenue | Value of successfully recovered orders |
Recovery Revenue Rate | % of recovered revenue / total recoverable revenue |
There are three tabs below the statistics:
- Recoverable Orders: Orders that are eligible for reminder emails.
- Recovered Orders: Orders that have been successfully recovered.
- Lost Orders: Orders that were not recovered after all reminder emails were sent.
Each order row shows:
Order ID | Draft order ID |
Customer | Buyer’s name and email |
Order Value | Includes product price and shipping |
Abandoned Date | When the order was left unfinished |
Reminder Email | Name(s) of the reminder email(s) attached |
Email Send Date | When the reminder email was sent or scheduled |
Email Send Status | Sent : Email successfully sent.Scheduled : Email is queued for delivery.Failed : Email delivery failed. |
