Manage Navigation Menus

Navigation menus help customers browse your BurgerShop store and find important pages, products, and collections easily.

BurgerShop stores usually include default menus such as Header, Information, and Company. You can edit these menus, add new menu items, create dropdown menus, or create new menus based on your storefront needs

Access Navigation

You can manage store menus from your BurgerShop admin.

Steps:

  1. Log in to your BurgerShop admin.
  2. From the left sidebar, go to Online store.
  3. Click Navigation.

You will see a list of existing menus and the menu items included in each menu.

Understand default menus

BurgerShop stores may include several default menus

MenuDescription
HeaderUsually displayed at the top of your storefront. It commonly includes links such as Shop, product categories, About Us, and Contact Us.
InformationUsually used in the footer for customer support pages such as Order Status, Shipping & Delivery, Cancellation/Order Change, and Refund.
CompanyUsually used in the footer for business pages such as About Us, Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Contact Us, and Payment Methods.

You can edit these menus or create new ones if your store needs a different structure.

Create a new menu

Use Create menu when you want to build a new menu for a specific area or purpose.

Steps:

  1. Go to Online store > Navigation.
  2. Click Create menu.
  3. Enter a menu title.
  4. Click Add menu item to add links.
  5. Click Save.

The menu title helps you identify the menu in your admin.

Add menu items

Menu items are the links that customers click on your storefront.

Steps:

  1. Go to Online store > Navigation.
  2. Open the menu you want to edit.
  3. Click Add menu item.
  4. Enter the menu item name.
  5. Select or enter the destination link.
  6. Click Save.

You can link menu items to:

  • Homepage
  • Products
  • Collections
  • Custom pages
  • Blog posts
  • Policy pages
  • External URLs

Create a submenu

A submenu is a dropdown menu under a main menu item. For example, you can create a parent menu called T-Shirt, then add child menu items such as Dad Clothing and Mom Clothing under it.

Steps:

  1. Go to Online store > Navigation.
  2. Open the menu you want to edit, such as Header.
  3. Click Add menu item to create the menu item you want to use as a submenu.
  4. Drag the new menu item under the parent menu item.
  5. Drop it slightly indented under the parent menu item.
  6. Click Save.

Important
To create a submenu, add the menu item first, then drag it under the parent menu. The indented position shows that the item is now a child menu.

Example

Menu structure:

T-Shirt
Dad Clothing
Mom Clothing

In this example, T-Shirt is the parent menu, while Dad Clothing and Mom Clothing are submenu items.

Edit menu items

You can update a menu item’s name or destination link at any time.

Steps:

  1. Go to Online store > Navigation.
  2. Open the menu you want to edit.
  3. Find the menu item.
  4. Click the edit icon.
  5. Update the name or link.
  6. Click Save.

Reorder menu items

You can change the order of menu items by dragging them.

Steps:

  1. Open the menu you want to edit.
  2. Click and hold the drag icon next to a menu item.
  3. Move the item to the desired position.
  4. Click Save.

This helps you control how links appear in the header or footer.

Delete menu items or menus

You can remove menu items that are no longer needed.

Delete a menu item

  1. Open the menu.
  2. Find the menu item you want to remove.
  3. Click the delete icon.
  4. Click Save.

Delete a menu

  1. Open the menu you want to delete.
  2. Click Delete menu.
  3. Confirm the deletion.
  4. Save changes if required.

Important
Deleting a menu or menu item may remove links from your storefront. Check your theme settings after deletion to make sure the correct menu is still assigned.

Save changes

After creating, editing, reordering, or deleting menu items, always click Save.

Then preview your storefront to confirm that the menu displays correctly
