Create a Free Shipping Promotion

The Promotion app lets you create a free shipping offer for your BurgerShop store. You can apply free shipping automatically at checkout or create a manual discount code that buyers need to enter during checkout.

Free shipping promotions are useful for:

• Encouraging buyers to complete checkout
• Increasing average order value
• Supporting seasonal campaigns
• Matching your store’s free shipping threshold message
• Offering free shipping to specific countries or customer groups

Important
Each BurgerShop store can create only one automatic coupon. If you plan to use free shipping as your main automatic offer, create the free shipping automatic discount first

Before you start

Before creating a free shipping promotion, make sure that:

• The Promotion app is enabled.
• Your store has shipping rates configured.
• Your checkout page is working correctly.
• You know which countries should receive free shipping.
• You know whether the promotion should apply to all orders or only orders that meet a minimum requirement.

If you want to show a free shipping message on your storefront, such as “Free shipping over $80,” make sure the promotion condition matches the message shown to buyers

Step 1: Open the Promotion app

Steps:

1. Log in to your BurgerShop admin.
2. Go to Apps.
3. Make sure Promotion is enabled.
4. Click Promotion to open the app.

Step 2: Create a free shipping promotion

Steps:

1. In the Promotion app, click Create promotion.
2. Select Free shipping.

The free shipping setup page will open

Step 3: Choose the promotion method

In the Method section, choose how the free shipping offer should apply.

Recommended option

For most free shipping campaigns, choose Automatic discount.

This lets buyers receive free shipping automatically without copying or entering a code.

Step 4: Enter the promotion title

The Title helps you identify the promotion and may be shown in the cart or checkout.

Steps:

1. In the Title field, enter a clear promotion name.
2. Use a name that helps your team understand the campaign.

Step 5: Select countries

The Countries section controls where free shipping applies.

You can choose:

The Exclude shipping rates over a certain amount option lets you prevent free shipping from applying to expensive shipping methods.

Step 7: Set minimum purchase requirements

The Minimum purchase requirements section controls what buyers must meet before they can receive free shipping.

Available options include:

Step 8: Set the active date

The Active date section controls when the free shipping promotion starts and ends.

Steps:

1. Set the Start date.
2. Set the Start time.
3. Optional: Check Set end date if the promotion should expire.
4. Enter the end date and end time if needed.

Use an end date for short-term campaigns such as holiday sales, weekend promotions, or limited-time offers.

Step 9: Review and save the promotion

Before saving, review the summary panel on the right side.

Check:

• Promotion type: Free shipping
• Method: Automatic or Discount code
• Countries
• Minimum purchase requirements
• Start date
• End date, if added

When everything is correct, click Save.
