Connecting Airwallex to BurgerShop

This guide explains how to connect Airwallex as a payment gateway in your BurgerShop store.

After the integration is completed, customers can pay through Airwallex during checkout, and you can manage payment processing through your Airwallex account.

Note
Before connecting Airwallex to BurgerShop, you need to create and verify your Airwallex account. BurgerShop requires your Airwallex Client ID and API Key to complete the connection.

Before you start

Before setting up Airwallex in BurgerShop, make sure you have:

  • A BurgerShop store
  • Access to your BurgerShop admin
  • An Airwallex account
  • A verified Airwallex business profile
  • Permission to create API keys in Airwallex

If your Airwallex account is still under review or restricted, complete the required verification steps in Airwallex before connecting it to BurgerShop.

Step 1: Create an Airwallex account

To use Airwallex as a payment gateway, you need to create an Airwallex account first.

Steps:

  1. Go to the Airwallex website:
    https://www.airwallex.com/vn-en
  2. Click Sign up.
  3. Follow the instructions to create your account.
  4. Complete the required business verification steps.

After your account is created and verified, you can log in to Airwallex and create API credentials.

Step 2: Log in to your Airwallex account

After creating your account, log in again to access your Airwallex dashboard.

Steps:

  1. Go to the Airwallex login page.
  2. Enter your business email.
  3. Enter your password.
  4. Click Log in.

After logging in successfully, you will be redirected to your Airwallex dashboard.

Step 3: Open API keys in Airwallex

From the Airwallex dashboard, go to the developer settings to manage your API keys.

Steps:

  1. In the Airwallex left sidebar, click Settings.
  2. Select Developer.
  3. Open the API keys tab.
  4. Click New scoped API key.

Step 4: Create a new scoped API key

After clicking New scoped API key, Airwallex will open the scoped API key setup page.

Steps:

  1. Enter an API key name.
  2. Review the available permission groups.
  3. Select the permissions based on your business needs.
  4. Click Create.

Important
Only grant the permissions required for your payment setup. If you are not sure which permissions to choose, contact BurgerShop Support or Airwallex Support before creating the key.

Step 5: Copy your Client ID and API Key

After you create the scoped API key, Airwallex will display the API key information.

You need to copy and save:

  • Client ID
  • API Key

Important
The API Key may only be displayed for a short time after creation. Copy and store it securely before leaving the page. If you lose the API Key, you may need to create a new scoped API key.

Do not share your API Key publicly or with anyone outside your trusted team.

Step 6: Connect Airwallex in BurgerShop

After copying your Airwallex credentials, go to your BurgerShop admin and connect Airwallex.

Steps:

  1. Log in to your BurgerShop admin.
  2. Open the store you want to connect with Airwallex.
  3. From the left sidebar, go to Online store.
  4. Select Payments.
  5. Find Airwallex in the payment provider list.
  6. Click Manage or status toggle
  7. Paste your Airwallex Client ID.
  8. Paste your Airwallex API Key.
  9. Click Save

After Airwallex is enabled, review your checkout page to make sure the payment method is available to customers.
